Building
Tools for a PG, a clinic, our family shop and kirana shops
Outside that
50 Robin Hood Army drives, community events, the gym
Hi, I'm Hariswara.
I'm in Class 12 in Hyderabad, and I learn best when there is something real on the other end: a problem someone actually has, and something I can build to find out whether my idea holds up.
Technology became interesting to me when I realised I could take an idea and turn it into something people could use. Many of the apps I used every day felt like black boxes. Building my own showed me they are really a set of parts working together: an interface, a database, logins, APIs, messages going out on WhatsApp. Working out how those pieces connect is still my favourite part.
I rarely start a project knowing everything it needs. I start with the problem, find out what I have to learn, try things, break them and fix them. That is how I picked up Python, web apps, databases, AI APIs and automation, and it is why I want to study AI and machine learning properly from 2027.
Outside of building, I spent Classes 5 to 10 at a residential school where I played nearly every sport on offer. I've done 50 drives with the Robin Hood Army, and I volunteer at community events around the city.
most of what I know, I learned because something broke
Over the last year: 5 projects in real use, 3 internships in very different fields, 50 Robin Hood Army drives, and 96.8% in Class 11.
Plus a place in The Knowledge Society's virtual programme, earned with an app I built and pitched in two days.
A website is only one piece.
Building for real businesses changed how I look at technology. A website stopped being a page to design. I started asking how people find it, how they get in touch, where the information lives, and which small jobs could run on their own.
Each project added another part of that picture. Pick one to see which parts it needed.
01How do people find it?
02How do they get in touch?
03Where does the information live?
04What runs behind the scenes?
Tap any partto see where I used it and what it does.
Things I've built, and what they taught me
I don't only build for practice. I like finding out whether something can actually be useful to someone. Most of these started with a problem I could see around me, several things I didn't know yet, and a lot of testing.
How I build. I use AI coding assistants, mostly Claude, to write much of the code, and I'm open about that. Deciding what to build, how the pieces connect, testing it with the people who use it and fixing what breaks is my part, and it's where most of my learning has come from.
Family shopNewest
Vedasri Traders
Our family runs a kirana shop in Gachibowli. Customers nearby are used to ordering from quick-commerce apps, so I wanted our shop to offer that too, without losing what a neighbourhood store does well: credit for regulars and bulk prices for businesses.
Shopping list scanner: photograph a handwritten list and it fills the cart
AI Chef plans a dish using only what's in stock right now
One app, two sides: a customer shop and an admin back office
What I learnedTwo kinds of users in one app meant learning how row-level security keeps data apart. A security audit then showed me where I had got it wrong the first time, and I fixed it.
My father runs Bhagya Lakshmi PG, homes for women with more than 250 beds across three properties. Registers weren't keeping up and he was looking at paid rental software, so I built our own, shaped around how the PG actually works.
Occupancy, collections and dues across every property
OCR that reads handwritten rent notes and new-tenant forms
Messages to tenants through the Meta WhatsApp API, and branded receipts on demand
What I learnedSoftware for a real business has to fit how people already work. Much of the PG still runs on paper, so the app learned to read it instead of asking everyone to type.
React + TypeScriptSupabaseGemini APIMeta WhatsApp API
Private and login only, so there's no public link.
A polyclinic in Shilpa Hills under Dr. Bhaskar Reddy needed to be found and trusted online. I built its website, then got involved in the rest of its digital start: how the clinic should present itself, its Instagram presence, and ideas for its first posts.
Three-step booking that becomes a ready-to-send WhatsApp message
An offline AI receptionist that answers common questions without any external API
Helped set up the clinic's Instagram and plan its content, using ChatGPT to draft and test ideas
What I learnedA clinic doesn't just need a website. It needs patients to find it, trust it and reach it. That question pulled me into social media, content and how one tool hands people on to the next.
Most people find a PG through word of mouth or listing apps. I wanted prospective residents to understand our three homes in Kondapur, Madhapur and HITEC City before they ever called: the rooms, the food, the facilities, and how to get in touch.
A page for each home, plus facilities, food menu and gallery
A three-step enquiry form that hands the details to WhatsApp
Meta and ChatGPT ads that I run for the PG, pointing people to the site
What I learnedGetting noticed is its own problem. A good website still needs ads, clear information and a quick way to reply, all working together.

Most kirana shops keep customer credit in a paper notebook, because writing is faster than typing. UdhaarAI lets them keep writing. At the end of the day the shopkeeper photographs the page, and every customer's account updates in one click.
Reads handwritten Hindi, Telugu and English, with a review screen for unsure entries
Customer ledgers, payments, reminders and profit analytics
A no-sign-up demo with a sample shop
What I learnedWhere AI helps and where plain code is better. I used Gemini only to read handwriting and wrote the rest as rules I could test, 224 automated tests by the end.
Selected for The Knowledge Society. UdhaarAI was my entry to the TKS Prompt to Product challenge. It took me to the interview round and earned me a place in the TKS virtual programme.
Small businesses around me still run on handwriting: credit notebooks, rent slips, shopping lists. Instead of asking people to stop writing, three of my products read the paper for them.

Marks aren't the whole story, but they are part of it. School has always been something I take seriously, and it gives me the maths and science I lean on when I build.

Selected for TKS 2026-2027
The Knowledge Society accepted me into its 2026-2027 cohort, a programme for teenagers who want to work on hard problems. I applied through its Prompt to Product challenge, building and pitching UdhaarAI in two days, and went on to the interview round.
After exams, Bhashyam Blooms gave a small fridge magnet to every student who finished in the top five of the class. I kept getting them from the end of Grade 8 through Grade 10. No single one matters much. What matters is that they kept coming.

Python Using AI Workshop
A workshop by AI for Techies on using AI to write Python, debug it, and build interactive visualisations. What I took away was less about any one trick and more about choosing tools on purpose: different AI tools suit different jobs, and I started paying attention to when ChatGPT or Claude is the better fit. One step in my ongoing experimenting with AI, not a claim to expertise.

Wet soil conducts better than dry soil. When moisture drops, the Arduino triggers the relay, since its 5V signal can't power the pump directly. Once the soil is wet enough, it switches off by itself.

The certificate records 41:24. Event organisers later communicated that the course measured approximately 5.8 km, and the event used a mass-start timing system. With a crowded starting area, the recorded time is not directly comparable to a chip-timed individual 5K.
I'm a Class 12 student (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) at Resonance Global Campus in Hyderabad. I learn by building: websites and tools for my family's businesses, a local clinic and kirana shops. I'm heading into an undergraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, aiming to start in 2027. More about me.
I use AI coding assistants, mostly Claude, to write a lot of the code, and I'm open about that. My part is deciding what to build, how the pieces connect (database, logins, WhatsApp, payments, AI), testing it with the people who use it, and fixing what breaks. I also learned Python from scratch in an internship and built and deployed my own Streamlit app.
What has he learned from building for real businesses?
That a website is only one piece. Working on our PG and on Hitex Health Nest pulled me into ads, Instagram, WhatsApp and how a customer gets from finding a business to getting a reply. I started thinking in systems, not single pages. See how the pieces connect.
What are his academic achievements?
96.8% in Class 11 (455 out of 470), with full marks in Maths IB, Physics and Chemistry. At Bhashyam Blooms I was class topper in Grade 8, second academic topper of the Grade 8 cohort for 2022-23, class second in Grade 9, and second in a Ramanujan Day maths test. Also Science and Maths Olympiads. See the academics page.
